I’m using Dreamweaver to edit my site, I upload my site using FTP, and my website provider is GoDaddy. You need to install phpbb. goDaddy may have it in fantastico – go look. It will be a simple install and I hope it works for you –
I do not like fantastico installs because they can be old software or modified for auto-install. If you want a more reliable install, go to http://phpbb.com and find the support/documentation links and have them help you do the install – I cannot possibly do better than them.
It is a very easy install but you will need to set up a mysql database through your goDaddy panel.
Then you can link to the URI that works your phpBB installation – if you install from the phpbb site and download, you will choose (or know) the correct link. after the goDaddy install the panel should tell you the proper link.
There are way to link to specific threads in the forum. You will want to study the doc and use specific phpbb support channels to help you – they are going to be better and more reliable than a general channel like Yahoo.

As far as I know, these forums are self contained and cannot be transplanted onto a private website.
